It is crazy to think that July has already passed. While most people are sad that fall (and school) are coming up fast, I am welcoming it all with open arms. I am ready to cast out my summer wardrobe and ready to embrace the boots and scarves again. However, July was a great month. We have realized that I cannot eat gluten and that was what was causing all my health problems. I also cut off an inch and a half of hair, which means that it is around shoulder length now rather than a little under my collar bone. It's been a good month. Here is what I was loving the last 31 days:
Beauty
Not going to lie, I barely did anything to myself this month in terms of beauty. I spent most of my days makeup free and with my hair in a bun. However, since chopping off my hair, my blowdryer has been an actual lifesaver.
My hair texture doesn't quite allow me to air dry my hair given its new shorter length. Blowdrying on days I know I will be leaving the house has been wonderful.
Also really been enjoying my Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette. I have been loving using the shade Undone for lining my upper lash line.
Books/Music/Entertainment
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr has been an excellent book. I bought it just after Christmas and only have just now recently gotten around to reading it now that I have much more free time. I highly recommend it.
The Wolf by Mumford and Sons
Anything John Mayer.
for some reason has been on repeat on my Spotify the last two weeks. Check out their newer album. It's good.
I started watching Scandal this month! Finally, after all I have heard about it. While I am only a few episodes in, I can tell I will be binge watching it into August.
Food Favorites
Is it weird to say that avocado has been a favorite this month? I have been eating it almost daily the last three weeks or so. It is especially good on top of white rice with salt and pepper. Sounds bland, but I enjoy these types of simple meals. Also love it on top of omelets!
Glutino Gluten Free Pretzel Sticks have also been a huge favorite of mine! I was raving about them from the moment I had the first one. I even think I prefer them over regular pretzels. (!!!!)
There it is, folks. The main favorites I had in July. It may be short, but I was not trying a ton out the last month. In the future I will definitely try and make these posts longer.
Have a nice day, y'all!
