It is that time of year again where we all justify buying new clothes we probably do not need for back to school. Maybe you have actually outgrown your pants, lost weight, gained that freshman 15, or maybe you just want to reinvent yourself for the new school year. Whatever the reason, I have come up with a few outfits that I know I would love to wear this fall. And yes, I totally did pull out my good old Polyvore account to put these all together.
This first outfit is something I would wear the first day of class for sure. You get some serious comfort with those pants, and the pattern makes you look a bit more put together than just a plain black pair. The material of those pants are generally more light, so it would be perfect for September if where you live is like Oregon and summer isn't quite over yet.
I know I am a million years late to this whole maxi dress/skirt trend. When it was a big thing a few years ago, I hated it. Personally, I don't like the look on me (I'm 5'1, so it is hard to find a long skirt that looks good on a short girl like me) but I love a good black dress paired with a denim jacket. With the layers, it is especially good for those warm days in early fall if you want to take off the jacket. And in terms of the watch, who doesn't love Kate Spade? :-)
I'm taking a moment to shove in a disclaimer: no, I do not attend the University of Oregon. I go to another college in Oregon and decided to use the way too hyped U of O for my outfit example. Anyway, this outfit is for a rainy, lazy day that we all inevitably have. Or maybe it's good to throw on something comfy like this when it's midterms week or you are sick. Either way, it's okay to not look presentable at all times.
Also love this outfit for football games! In Oregon, no one dresses up for them like they do down South, and this is something that could keep you warm while you're out cheering your team on all day.

This last outfit is for those chilly days that creep in around the end of October/early November. This is one of my favorite outfits out of the ones I created. Nothing gets me more excited than finally being able to pull out my favorite pair of boots and sweater. Personally, I have never owned a vest though, but I would love to get one this year maybe. Anyway, yes, this outfit is cute and while it is plain, you can create different variations with any color sweater, vest, or pants.
I hope you all enjoyed these ideas. I wanted to create sets that would be moderately comfortable, but would make you look more put together than just leggings and a sweatshirt.
Also thinking about doing more of these outfit sets on Polyvore in the future, but we'll see. Maybe I'll do one for Thanksgiving outfits in November? Who knows.
